To live for years without achieving your goals is to develop the habit of excuses.
You will always find plenty of family and “friends” ready to help you make excuses for not doing. Your not doing helps them feel better about their not doing.
Beware of those who comfort you for being and doing less. Unless that’s what you want.
If not, seek out those whom you admire who are doing more and achieving goals. Friend them… follow them and they will help you with rise more into yourSELF.
It’s easier not to. Easier not to do. Easier not to push yourself, especially when you’re tired, and there’s too much to do.
It’s easier… at first.
But then it eats you… eats away at who you are to be.
Is it easier to live with regret?
Excuses undermine success.
Excuses weaken. Progress strengthens.
The less you do the less you can do. The more you do the more you can do.
Excuses are fat… they weigh you down. Progress is muscle, it carries you forward and keeps you agile and able.
Excuses are the enemy of progress.
Excuses pretend to be your friend.
Excuses are your Wormtongue to King Thedan.
Excuses are you Krypton to Superman.
Excuses are your Siren to Hercules.
Excuses are your Moriarty to Sherlock.
Excuses are the enemy. Avoid them.
You will know you’re slipping when you hear yourself making an excuse.
Reframe excuses and you’ll retrain your mindset.
Retraining your mindset boosts your immunity to negativity… to the viruses of the mind that hack away at the health of your dreams.
Excuses hold the key to your success, IF you tune into their symptoms and give them a heavy dose of immunity.
Immunity is your resolve.
Immunity is your positive peers.
Immunity is your determination.
Immunity is your joy in doing the work you love, no matter how tired… no matter how discouraged… no matter how bleak things may appear in the moment.
"It’s easier not to. Easier not to do. Easier not to push yourself. It’s easier… at first."
