Applaud Another Day

iCreateDaily community member, Beth Murphy, is an exceptional haiku poet.
If you’re rusty on Haiku rules, it’s this:

HAIKU
17 syllables in 3 lines
  1. 5
  2. 7
  3. 5
About Haiku poetry writing, Beth says:
"It's very relaxing and rewarding for me to be able to say so much in so few words."

HAIL THE HAIKU-ER!
Haiku poetry writing is an incredibly brilliant skill.
Sometimes... often actually, it's harder to say more in fewer words than to be verbose.

To cultivate that skill requires a sort of meditation on essentials... on PURPOSE and the soul of a thing, so it seems a very centering thing, and as indicated, Beth said that she:
"Finds it relaxing", would seem to underscore that meditative quality as well, though for some of us it might be a strain. :-D

Beth’s reply:
"Yes to all you've said. I have also enjoyed using pencil and doodling word choices until I get the right combination of syllables."

Here’s Beth’s Haiku of the day:

GRATEFUL
Welcome open air
Applaud another day
Grateful for the breath

Background to this...
Open air… outside, opening airways
Applauding ..many places are conducting nightly clapping /applauding for health care workers
Grateful for life.

We agree, Beth. Thank you for sharing your reflections in haiku.
