Subject: A Different Idea of Elegance

The data center that hosts our websites was down for 5 hours on Monday, resulting in lost revenue and time. Then last night (while writing this) our internet was cutting out most of the evening, so we're back on with a different tech support.

Subsequently, there's no meme today, for I can't consistently access our app for that, but hopefully this reaches you as usual... (slipping in between the gaps in connectivity).

There were so many people affected on so many levels of impact to their businesses, however, the Stoic way is to be unruffled by it, so that's what I did. No point in fretting what I can't change.

All the more perfect actually, given the article linked to (at bottom) on how to be more positive.

Meanwhile, sharing what I can.

I love the bold color and candor of this poetic quote, written by famed French poet, Edmond Rostand in his renowned play, Cyrano de Bergerac.

“I have a different idea of elegance. I don't dress like a fop, it's true, but my moral grooming is impeccable. I never appear in public with a soiled conscience, a tarnished honor, threadbare scruples, or an insult that I haven't washed away. I'm always immaculately clean, adorned with independence and frankness. I may not cut a stylish figure, but I hold my soul erect. I wear my deeds as ribbons, my wit is sharper than the finest mustache, and when I walk among men I make truths ring like spurs.”

~Edmond Rostand, Cyrano de Bergerac
