Subject: 2018. You + Your Goal... Let’s do this!

Happy Sunday!

We hope you’re enjoying your weekend!

This is the time of year where we reflect on the past year, and look forward to opportunities in 2018. You’re about to receive 365 fresh new days! Imagine each one as a new canvas or blank page:
  • What new projects would you like to bring to life?
  • What goals are you burning to accomplish?
  • What vision for 2018 are you looking forward to?

iCreateDaily’s mission is to help creative artists and entrepreneurs like you, accomplish your goals.

We know life happens. Family, jobs, friends, other responsibilities. You don’t have to pick between life and art. You can make art a part of your life. That is what we are here to help you achieve.

Over the past 100 days the members in the private Creator’s Challenge and Mastermind group have accomplished so much, all while also living everyday life. For most of us, the Challenge was a process of learning how to refine and clarify our goals. We’ve all improved in setting realistic ones, while also getting more done that we would have without the Challenge.

Here are some examples of what Challenge members have achieved during this past 100 Days:

Eeva ~
MACRO GOAL:
Create and publish an art and creativity journal.

Micro Goals:
  • Create new art
  • Format and design journal
  • Write text content
  • Source printing, decide on style, paper, etc.
  • Submit to publisher
  • Create marketing plan
All while serving commissioned clients and also traveling from Finland to Nashville where she attended an artist workshop. Eeva’s journal is now in hand and she’s launching it to the world before the new year!

Emily ~
MACRO GOAL:
Launch personal brand as a composer, musician and music teacher.

Micro Goals:
  • Created and launched her website for her music business
  • Started working on compositions & musical creation as a daily habit.
  • Set up a profile on UpWork - a freelance job site
  • Landed an interview within the first couple days of setting up her profile.
  • Created music composition notebooks for her students
  • Composed a brand new Christmas song and will perform it on Christmas eve
Emily did all of this while working two part time jobs and teaching private music lessons to her students!

Lynne ~
MACRO GOAL:
To develop a natural, workable creative process/rhythm, which includes deciding what art projects I want to work on during the next 6 months.

Micro Goals:
  • Rekindled her passion of doing art
  • Created daily habits and journaling system that improved her efficiency in achieving her goals
  • Organized her art space
  • Worked on several paintings
  • Went to an art workshop that helped her hone her visual art skills
  • Prepared for and showed her work in two art shows
  • Worked on identify her “why” and life priorities, while identifying the non-essentials (and vice versa)
Lynne achieved all of this while also attending to life, partaking of a couple art courses, including an artist’s vacation event, teaching Sunday school and managing “life”.

Paul ~
MACRO GOALS -

1. Finish editing his second book.
2. To complete an editing assignment he has for a publishing company.

Micro Goals
  • Finished editing his 2nd book and will be publishing it in 2018, his goal for the next Challenge!
  • Served as editor for Our Write Side Publishing
Paul’s original goal was to get 200 newsletter subscribers and reach out to secure support from relevant influencers for brand building. As a part of the goal-setting journey, Paul realized that it was more important for now for him to focus on creating more content, beginning with finishing his second book. So, the above are his revised goals, which he completed while working full time and also serving as coordinator and leader in an annual trip to serve a village in Guatemala, where they helped with a village's infrastructure, primarily building houses for overcrowded families.

Amanda ~
MACRO GOALS:
Increase my Patreon community so that my writing income will allow me to continue writing.

Micro Goals:
  • Launched products on Etsy shop, (which took off, so she’s redirecting some of her attention there)!
  • Wrote new articles based on keyword relevance
  • Decided to focus more effort on building her personal brand through her personal website
  • Ran her publishing company
             >Which included coordinating several book launches for other authors
  • Continued writing her fiction book
  • Managed her Patreon profile which includes adding weekly and monthly content
Amanda’s goals also shifted during the Challenge as well. She realized the importance of being flexible and paying attention to clues on which area of work is ready to take off more fully, in spite of what may have been planned. So Amanda accomplished her new and revised goals all while being a mom, wife, and managing staff for her publishing company!

Jenny ~
MACRO GOAL:
Curated, coordinated and constructed art for two non-profit art events supporting a suicide prevention awareness campaign

Micro Goals:
  • Created two art pieces for El Dia de Los Muertos (the Mexican Day of the Dead celebration).
  • Organized, created and/or curated art for at least 5 other art shows!
Jenny’s main goal was the suicide prevention art show and El Dia de Los Muertos pieces, but she ended doing other shows because one event led to exposure to her work and skills that led to the next event.

NOTE: This is how to grow your work in the world! More doing leads to more opportunities to do, which leads to increased income.

We also did the challenge along side our members.
