Dear Families,

The families and individuals pictured above gathered for our first-ever Family Day on the Big Sandy campus in January for a time of fellowship, encouragement, and service. We want to invite you to our next Family Day on Tuesday, April 18 at the International ALERT Academy campus.

Any and all are welcome to come and receive encouragement from God’s Word, fellowship with other believers, and also assist staff by serving on a campus project. The goal of Family Day is to provide another way for families to fellowship and encourage one another while learning valuable truths from God's Word as well as providing a service opportunity.

Family Day will begin at 9 a.m. in the Field House Dining Room on the campus. There will be a lesson on a command of Christ and a character quality. After this teaching time, families will have opportunity to fellowship while working on a related handcraft.

Please bring your lunch or you may purchase the meal served in the dining room. Whichever you choose, you are invited to join the staff during the mealtime following the noontime prayer meeting. Meals may be purchased (cash or check only): $4.25 for adults, $2.50 for children ages 4-11, children ages 3 and under eat free. After lunch, children who are old enough will join with campus staff members in working on a service project. The work could range from assisting in hospitality to light landscaping projects. We encourage participants to bring work gloves for some of the outdoor tasks. Family Day will end at 3 p.m. with a closing gathering for prayer and dismissal. Family Day is open to anyone who desires to come, serve, and be encouraged.
