This week we are so grateful to have Dr. Lew Sterrett joining the podcast! Dr. Sterrett is best known for teaching life-giving truths from the back of a horse — or as he calls it, the Sermon on the “mount.” For over 30 years, he has combined his expertise as a professional horse trainer, a certified counselor, and a licensed pastor, to show God’s heart in a unique way to both secular and ministry audiences alike.
Lew’s childhood began with a major tragedy that led him to search for acceptance in all the wrong places as he grew up. While quickly rising in the world of horsemanship, God brought people into his life to lead him to a saving knowledge of Christ and to find complete acceptance in Him.
After coming to the Lord, his identity was again challenged when God asked him to give up his accomplished career as a leading expert in horsemanship. As Lew surrendered and followed God’s direction, He eventually restored his work with horses and transformed it into a powerful ministry tool that has touched hearts all over the world. In this episode, you’ll hear of his adventures in a difficult Mongolian community — just one of many amazing stories where the Lord worked through Lew in a powerful way.
