Ask in Faith

“Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

MATTHEW 21:21–22

Augustine said: “Faith is to believe what you do not see. The reward for this faith is to see what you believe.” When Jesus commanded us to ask in faith, He also gave us an invitation—an invitation to draw near to the Faithful One and allow Him to persuade and convince us of His power and His ability to perform that for which we pray.

Faith is not something God expects us to muster up on our own. In fact, true faith doesn’t come from us at all! It is precious to realize that faith is something God forms in us as we focus on Him, cultivating intimacy with Him through prayer and His Word. Do you want to increase in faith? Increase your time with the Faithful One and He will impart faith to you! Join us as we open up this new command: Ask in Faith. You will be encouraged to allow God to reveal His faithfulness to you, and thus, increase your faith.
