What are you grateful for today?
Whenever you wake up what is your first reaction? “I only have x amount of minutes before work”, “I have to do x,y,z today”, “Oh sh*t I woke up late and I’m running behind” or the classic “I wish I had 5 more minutes”.
These thoughts now are going to create the remainder of your day and set forth an energy of lack, anxiety and will really take some grounding to get passed. When you wake up and even go to bed expressing even the smallest amount of gratitude towards anything in your life it will change the way you express yourself the rest of the day. Holding 5-10 minutes of gratitude as the first thoughts to enter your mind in the morning allows you to feel more relaxed, settle the body with a loving vibration instead of filling it with stressors right in the morning. As well as going to bed holding gratitude, allowing it to lull you to sleep as you run through your mind all that you are grateful for. Doing this practice will aid you in waking up the same way. This also allows the thoughts to sink deeper into the subconscious and keep the body relaxed for a better night's sleep! Try it for one week and see the difference!
