Good Afternoon,
The Islamic Association of North Texas ("IANT") along with 27 other houses of worship, businesses, and community associations in the DFW Metroplex—collectively serving tens of thousands of individuals (and the recipients' constituents) across our respective communities—has remitted the letter linked below to key individuals in the Cities of Richardson and Allen, as well the Counties of Dallas and Collin, among those others CCed. The letter is also available online at iant.com/utd-letter. Summarized, the letter demands accountability from city leaders for what the undersigned believe to be a wholly unjustified and disproportionate response to our community members exercising their First Amendments right to peaceful protest and assembly in one of the most protected forums—a public campus.
For transparency purposes, the undersigned have launched a tracker to keep track of responses as we receive them. www.iant.com/letter-responses.
For additional inquiries, please contact pr@iant.com.
