Dear Friend, Much about the dangers of the American Food Supply, has been coming to light for the last 30 years or so in particular. So I wanted to take the time and recommend some very good documentary's on the subject.
1) Forks Over Knives -- based on the work of Dr. T. Colin Campbell Ph.D., and Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn Jr. M.D. The story involves findings of The China Study -- what is no doubt the largest study on cancer causation than any study the world will ever know.. and the clinical research of these men. According to the main facts revealed by this study, and the work of these men the more animal protein we have in our diet the sooner we become diseased. They also warn against over processed foods, too much sugar consumption, and these men warn us against hydrogenated oils and so forth. I highly recommend watching this documentary. It is available on NetFlix at this time.
2) Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead -- is a very inspiring documentary of a man who had been very sick but who juiced himself thin (and healthy again) with the Mean Green recipe he developed. Cucumber, Kale, Green Apple, Ginger, Lemon and so forth. Do it!
3) The War on Wheat -- talks about how our wheat supply became modified into something not so good for us anymore. It is a good evaluation of the current state of this long believed healthy staple food.
AND..
4) Food Fight: The Debate over GMO Labels .
The dietary portion of the Applied Lymphology program has been needing some updates, but then it is no longer just Applied Lymphology.. right? I like the term PhysioEcology.
To my fathers credit, he warned everyone against a high protein diet. Stating that it was just a matter of time before the kidneys and liver would be damaged by too much protein in our diet. He also warned against too much sugar and salt. First of all, when Dr. West refers to the dangers of salt, he is referring to table salt that has been depleted of its natural state normally rich in a balance of minerals.
Since my fathers materials were produced much more information has come to light about how to eat right, and I will be covering that information in future newsletters as time goes on.
Back in 2005, I posted an article entitled The Prime Ecological Variables to the Academy discussion forum. There are four variables to the principle of nurturing the body tissues. 1) Assimilation: Covering the topic of how substances that are ingested become integrated into the body. 2) Circulation: Covering the ability of our blood stream to deliver vital oxygen and nutrients. 3) Filtration: Detailing the role of the amazing lymphatic system, in vacuum packing each of our cells while simultaneously allowing the greatest filtration system in the world to move out the metabolic waste from our tissues spaces, and 4) Excretion or Elimination: Covering the final process of detoxification and the elimination of cellular waste or poisons from our body.
Look forward to more involving those variable to be revealed in an upcoming book The Science of Healing & The Healers Protocol.
Now to present to you a recent article coauthored by (my wife) Kimberly Kay West and I: Anything put into “food” that the body can’t use is a potential burden to the body. Burdens must require a minimum amount of energy for the body to eliminate, and if the body lacks the energy to do so the alternative is far more costly. How can the body afford to continuously store these burdens?
At this time, the FDA continues to place the burden on the average citizen to prove or disprove whether ingredients that are added in secret and that are never disclosed to them are either healthy or unhealthy by categorizing them as Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS).
In reality the general public is being deceived at every turn. The ugly truth is that the government agencies tasked with looking out for the health of the general public are in fact looking out for and protecting the profit margins of mega-corporations. Over-consumption Malnutrition is what you get when you buy fast food or store-bought, factory-produced ready-to-eat items. If it was ever in a box you may want to rethink eating what’s inside.
Life can be stressful enough without having to go through a long process of “learning the hard way” as we slowly have our eyes opened to all the addictive chemicals. Who in their right mind conscientiously prefer to ingest formaldehyde, rubber compounds, petrochemicals, synthetic additives, preservatives, pesticides, and GMO’s? The overall food industry kills your food, cooks the life out of your juices, uses deceitful advertising practices in just about everything, and that’s just the 95% of ingredients that advertisers are required to tell you about. The FDA allows the remaining 5% to remain secretive for competitive, marketing purposes—so anything goes!
What we need is enough awareness and inspiration on how to live our lives in as time efficient and yet safe and healthy ways as possible—without having to spend years learning the hard way or being stressed and overwhelmed by the daunting tasks of finding a quick meal that won’t leave us with regret.
We can’t fix overnight all the problems we face in this world. All we can do is take things a step at a time and give it our best effort to improve what we can about ourselves each day.
It’s true that there are few good and healthy “Grab, Go, and Eat” options, and the good ones cost much more than the bad ones. How can we eliminate a lot of the costs while still ensuring a fulfillment of our daily nutritional requirements?
You can start by making little changes. Try choosing several raw vegetables you would enjoy snacking on on a regular basis and keep them handy (cleaned, diced up, or whatever and within reach) at all times. This is step number one! Step two is to be sure to start your day eating these before anything else.
Next, you need to move and breathe deeply at regular intervals throughout the day. This will help your body process the nutrition into each of the various tissues and compartments of your body; and with plenty of fluids this will help the body remove the waste. More in-depth information on this is available at ial.org. There is digestion and then there is assimilation…
Make eating healthy and being physically active a priority in your life today! Treat it like a part time job. Your body will begin thanking you immediately by giving you the energy you need to keep up with your busy schedule. Not only will you actually start to feel better it will pay off in more ways than you imagine.
