Subject: The Sergeants Club | June 2024


Dear Sgt. Club, 


You don't hear from me directly often in this club, but I thought I would take an email from Sam to convey a few things to you guys. 

First of all, thank you guys for being a part of the club. It was Sam Winkler's idea a few years ago, and you guys have made it possible. Thank you for your support and prayers for us here at ALERT, and for being a listening ear, a vote of confidence, and a place to find counsel as we weather the work of ministry to young men. 

Secondly, I wanted to let you guys know that Phillip Vanderford will be stepping down as Battalion Commanding Officer at the end of August, and that Sam Winkler will be taking his place. Sam has been an integral part of the ministry over the years, and I am excited to have him move up into this new position of leadership. Needless to say, both he and Phillip will need your payers over the next few months. Phillip for direction in his future, and Sam as he takes on his new role and all of the struggles and excitements that come with it.

Thanks again for supporting the work we do here from afar. We really appreciate all that you guys have poured into this ministry over the years to help build the program we have here today.
