Hello alumni and friends of ALERT,


I wanted to get a final invite out to all of you regarding our upcoming Conquer Series weekend retreat in Big Sandy, March 10-12, 2023. This weekend will be a powerful time together as men, learning to better understand the addictive nature of pornography and the beginning steps to walking in freedom. The weekend is open to ALERT alumni, Quest alumni, family members, or any other guys you feel might benefit from such training. We presently have about 20 guys registered and have space for a few more. Please note: I must have your registration no later than this Thursday night, March 2nd to enable me to purchase the workbooks and make additional plans for the weekend. Cost for the weekend is $45 per person, plus housing. If you have questions, need additional information, or want to sign up, please contact me as soon as possible.

Secondly, we are also holding a Conquer Series retreat in Waynesburg, PA, about an hour south of Pittsburg. That retreat will be held Friday night, March 24 to Sunday noon, March 26. If you think you might be interested in attending, please contact me for more details. The cost breakdown for this weekend will be forthcoming, but I need to know of your interest since registration and housing numbers are limited.

Finally, there is an opportunity for our alumni to apply for construction work with Samaritans Purse. Samaritan's Purse regularly runs rebuild programs after disasters, and they are looking to add staffing from those who have some basic or advanced construction experience. It would be a great ministry opportunity for you if you fit the bill. I have limited information regarding the positions, but I have been told that housing and some meals are included in the package. Again, if you’d like to talk more about the opportunity, give me a call and I can introduce you to those who can help you begin the application process.
