From its inception almost 30 years ago, the ALERT program has always sought to disciple young men and help them find their place in this world. Let's face it, in a world of counterfeit and confusing messages from Hollywood, social media, and our culture, it can be challenging to find one's place in the world today. And when young men don't know what is true about themselves, they end up believing whatever they want. Either they think that life is all about them and that they are the center of their universe, or worse, they believe that their lives don't matter and that nothing they do will make a difference. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Young men need to find deep meaning in their lives, and understand—at their core—that their meaning doesn't come from inside themselves but from outside. First, their purpose comes from their relationship with their Creator. Second, their purpose is lived out in their relationships with those around them. That is why ALERT exists: to help forge a young man's relationship with these two realities. Every young man has been made in the image of God and is called to reflect that identity to the world around him, and therefore, his life is to be one of sacrificial service to others.

Please join us in helping young men find these truths: the truth about who they are, what they have been made for, and where their identity truly lies. The most important thing you can do is pray for us and for each one of the men in training. We can only point them to Christ, but He has to do the work in their lives. You can also support us financially. We have already awarded more scholarship money for the winter quarter of 2024 than we awarded in either 2021 or 2022 for the entire year. Our scholarship fund is completely donor funded, and all the money in the fund goes directly to help cover the training costs for students with financial needs. You can either donate online, or mail a check to the office at the address below.
