Hello,
The Oxford dictionary defines
camaraderie as "mutual trust and friendship
among people who spend a lot of time together." At ALERT, the men spend
a lot of time together. They live together, learn together, train together,
grow together, and get challenged together on a daily basis. We often put the
men through complex scenarios that require them to work together to
accomplish the task at hand. Doing these types of events really shows the
importance of working well together and building healthy relationships.
It reminds me of the
body of Christ, and how we are to respond to each other. "Do nothing from selfish ambition
or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than
yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but
also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is
yours in Christ Jesus" Philippians 2:3-5 ESV. Oh, that we would be people
of humility, caring for those around us as Christ cares for us.
Striving for Christ,
