Subject: ALERT Update | October 15, 2024

October 15, 2024

As I look back on my Christian walk, I realize there have been some very dark and challenging times, even in my relatively short life. Part of what helped me endure those times, and made me more resilient, were the people who surrounded me. The Christian life is not a solo run, and God, in His goodness, has not left us to fend for ourselves. Scripture says that "there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother," and through my time at ALERT, I have certainly found this to be true. The forging progress of ALERT brings men together in a special way, and can build friendships that last a lifetime. Camaraderie certainly sharpens a man, but it also supports and strengthens him in ways he could not experience alone. The Gospel brings an unparalleled and unprecedented amount of unity in the life of a believer with fellow Christians, and for that I am increasingly grateful.

Stand strong,
