Giving
glory to God is the chief end of man, and how better to glorify Him
than serve Him and give Him the praise and honor for our service.
Serving Christ is the primary call of the Christian life. Whether that
is through something public like serving the community and sharing the
message of the gospel, our routine work, or private service in time devoted to prayer, our every act as a Christian should be done as service to the Lord. "Whatever
you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that
from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are
serving the Lord Christ." (Colossians 3:23-24 ESV)
