How would you answer the question “what is the Gospel?” This
is the question we have been digging into this last week in our 2nd Phase
class. We have been studying evangelism and the call on every believer to be an
ambassador of his King, Christ Jesus.
Do we live life overwhelmed and compelled by the beauty of
our God? By the good news of how He came to take our brokenness and treason
onto Himself, and give us his righteousness and obedience in return? Jesus has called us
to follow Him by his grace, living out a new life, united to Him as a member of
His body the Church. May we never grow content with our current grasp of the
Gospel, or relegate the message of Jesus Christ to merely the turning point in
the moment of salvation. Rather, let us steep ourselves every day in this good
news, this Gospel!
