Dear Partners in Christ:

Recently we celebrated two more milestones at the ALERT Academy. At the end of May, Unit 59, a team of 24 men completed our nine week Basic Training. One week later another 16 men graduated from our program.
What was particularly significant at both these ceremonies was the number of men that referred to the camaraderie aspect that a program like ALERT offers. Young men in particular face incredible temptations and the opportunity to be with others going through these struggles strengthens one’s walk in the battle. 

“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falls; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevails against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-12.
Your ongoing part in prayer and support of our ministry continues to impact the lives of hundreds of men that have participated in the various aspects of our training. If there was ever a day that we need Godly young men to rise to the occasion it is now. Thank you for being a part of the work in these challenging days.

Here are some prayer requests related to our programming:
  1. Continue to pray that God would bring more men through training. We presently have a team on the road performing service and recruiting efforts at several home school conferences. Pray for fruit from these efforts.
  2. Pray for wisdom as we develop our summer programs for our men returning at the end of June.
  3. Pray for our QUEST program that will be starting up June 23. This is a one month program for young men ages 14 and up that gives solid training in the area of transitioning into manhood. If you know of someone that would benefit from such please feel free to call us for more information.
  4. Pray for the young ladies in our STEP program that is now in progress.
