It's Hygge Time!

Your Week #5 Challenge Awaits...

This month's challenge has a "joyful" theme. Let's explore what that could mean for you...

This month's theme is about being "joyful". It will be about allowing joy into the small areas of your life, enjoying the Hyggelig around you, and feeling the abundance of it flowing through you. In Canada, October is the month we celebrate Thanksgiving. For me, showing appreciation for the joy I see within my life is how I can honor the serenity that comes with a Hygge Lifestyle.


In week #1, your challenge was to slow down enough to appreciate some part of your life. It might have been creating time for some self-care or noticing a sparkle in someone's eye. What was it for you?


In week #2, your challenge was to explore what you can do this month that will bring more joy into your life. What did you plan to bring more laughter and joy into your week? Did you allow those joyful moments to flow through you?


In week #3, your challenge was to create space for something that brings you joy...something just for you. For me, I used a spa gift certificate and had my first facial in 19 years. It was fabulous!


Last week, your challenge was to reflect on your life and what matters to you most. Is there anything that isn't bringing you joy, but you'd like more joy in that area? What can you do differently? What can you release that may be stopping you from fully experiencing the joy you desire?


For me, instead of talking about going to see the mountains again, we made the drive to the mountains. It was a long day of driving but so worth it!


This week I'd like you to tap into some love energy to help bring more joy into your week. This could mean calling a friend or a family member. It could mean doing something for yourself that you've been putting off (yes send some love your way too!). Drop off a gift or do some baking for a neighbor. Rake the leaves for someone in need of help.


Doing something for another, or for yourself is bringing joy for them and for you. In short, spend time with those that you love, laugh, and bring more joy into your week. If we intentionally choose to do it, we will find a way to make it happen. There are times it may not happen the way we expected them to happen, but with the effort, we will find a way somehow.
