It's Hygge Time!

Your Week #4 Challenge Awaits...

This month's challenge has a "calming" theme. Let's explore what that could mean for you...

This month's energy has a positive ending, but a bit of a bumpy ride for many at the beginning. I keep getting a "holistic completion" message for the month. This tells me that no matter what happens this month we will find holistic ways to bring in some peace and positive energy for many in the world.

After much contemplation, I felt that finding some inner peace and knowing what calms us, both within our inner world and our home environment, would help everyone manage this storm with grace. It can be hard to find inner calm when there is chaos outside, but hygge principles have helped me manage my way through many storms over the years. Let's weather this one together, shall we?

In week #1, your challenge was to find comfortable places within your home that will give you a safe place for solitude, calming energy, peacefulness, and some balance. We call this your Hyggekrog. THEN after you found your Hyggekrog, I asked you to write yourself a love letter and ask yourself what signals are important for you to know when to slow down and seek moments within your Hyggekrog.

In week #2, your challenge was to notice when you need to slow down and to do it in some way. Remember that love letter from week #1? This is where it will come in handy.

In week #3, your challenge was to reflect on the times you found yourself needing to seek out the comfort of your Hyggekrog. What was happening during those moments or earlier throughout your day? The second part of this challenge, once you have identified the emotions or events surrounding those moments, was to allow yourself to reflect on why you felt that way and what you could give yourself permission to do or to release?

This week, your challenge is to look back on the past month and recognize the moments you were struggling in some way and sought the comfort of your Hyggekrog. I'd like you to recognize the moments you were mindful enough to realize you needed that safe space to rebalance yourself in some way.

I'd like you to reflect on how the month went for you emotionally. Sure you may have found yourself working through some triggers, but that is growth. I can't tell you how many people I've met that believed that being triggered is a sign of failure.

It's not failure.

It's actually loving energy flowing through you to show you it's time to heal something that you've held onto in some way.

It is loving energy showing you that there is a new path waiting for you that is easier if you can just love yourself enough to release what's holding you back. When we can do this, how we see ourselves and how we look at our life is far more loving and accepting in so many ways.

When you found your calming safe spot, your hyggekrog, you sent yourself love and gave yourself permission to calm your inner storm so you could work through those triggers in your own way. This series of steps, this process, is healthy and extremely effective in developing that loving relationship with yourself once again. Please celebrate the progress you made this month because you deserve the love sent your way.

Remember - As an added challenge this month, I'd love to connect with you! Feel free to tag me on IG or Facebook Stories to share your Hygge challenge activities. I'd love to celebrate with you!
