It's

Hygge

Time!

Your Week #4 Challenge Awaits...

This month's challenge has a "connecting with nature" theme. Let's explore what that could mean for you...

Hey Hygge Family! I'm back and excited about this month's challenge! Before digging into the first week, I'd like to explain the Hygge lifestyle challenge. This challenge is based upon my viewpoint of Hygge:

  1. a lifestyle that helps you create a foundation for learning about and creating a loving relationship with yourself,

  2. help you define and create a life you love,

  3. and be able to know what Hyggelig healthy habits will help you stretch your comfort zone for growth and achieving life goals.

This month's theme is taking a topic in the Hygge It! course and challenging you to explore it further and find ways to help you in any of the 3 points above.

This month I am going to challenge you to find ways within, around, and with nature and natural elements to find balance and create hyggelig healthy routines that will help you find balance.

In the Hygge It! course, this section starts out telling you that connecting with nature just 2 hours a week helps with your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. This can be spread out through the week in bite size pieces which is one of the major benefits of the Hygge Lifestyle.

Connecting with nature could be having decor made from natural elements like a water fountain, wood floors, or a stone or wood carving. It could be using elemental music or the real deal to help you relax:

  • the crackle of a fireplace, or lighting a candle

  • running water or a soaking in a bath,

  • the sound of the wind, watching, or feeling it on your face,

  • healthy meals, holding a wood, or stone carving, crystal knowledge, being outdoors or consciously observing nature

Reminder: For those that thought hygge was just about cozy blankets and candles or comfort foods, this challenge is based upon the root meaning of hygge - to give courage, comfort, and joy to your life as you connect deeply with your soul, mind, and consciousness.

This month when you aren't sure where to start with each week's challenge give yourself the space, within your Hyggekrog, to look within your heart. As you sit with the challenge that week you may be presented with a few different options. It is your choice which path feels more aligned for you at this time. Allow your intuition and soul to guide you. What do you have to lose? If it doesn't work as well as you thought, explore what did work and adjust accordingly. Doing something is better than not doing anything.

This week is the full moon, which means that shadow energy dismissed previously may come up through connected energy. What does this mean? If doubt around a life goal or action was dismissed something may bring this to the forefront in a more obvious way during this week. This is true for all misaligned moments where you may have dismissed thoughts or pushed away emotions.

Week #4's challenge is to reflect upon where you can create space in nature, what hyggelig habit you can do to help you reflect more consistently, or what natural item might help find balance so you feel comfortable reflecting more often. The goal flex the growth muscles more often so your aligned energy flows and life is filled with more abundant moments; ultimately creating a deeper connection with yourself.

Pro tip: Nature is healing. Lighting a candle while you journal these moments helps calm the nervous system. Walking or hiking while allowing yourself to honestly reflect helps reset also. Soak in a tub will help and as you let the water out, consciously release the old.

You've got this!
