Subject: Week #4 July Hygge Challenge

It's Hygge Time!

Your Week #4 Challenge Awaits...

In week #1, I announced this month's theme is connection. Let's explore what that means for you!

This month we are going back to Hygge Lifestyle foundations. Connection is a foundational "C" within the Hygge Lifestyle. As we enter into summer or winter, depending upon where you are in the world, you may be feeling this need to reconnect.

In week #1, I challenged you to think about how you want to spend time with yourself and get to know yourself again. I'd like you to think about how you want to show up within your relationships and connect with those you love. What can you do this month to connect on a deeper level with people?

In week #2, the challenge was to start making those connections possible, even if you needed to get a bit more creative than normal.😉 Some of the ideas I had in the challenge included:

  • Reach out to that friend and connect in some way: over the phone, over a video chat, go for coffee.

  • Drop off a Hygge-style care package for a neighbor.

  • Integrate meditation or quiet moments for yourself.

  • Take the breaks you need to clear the mind (this week's newsletter topic)

  • Start an evening routine or mini-date night with your partner

  • Plan a game night with the family or with friends

  • connect with nature and friends with a hike in nature, or a picnic at a local park

Last week's challenge relates to your relationship with your own well-being. What did you do last week to take care of yourself?

When we take the time to honor our own self-care we are loving ourselves the way Universe wants us to. We are building that deep relationship with ourselves that has been pushed aside for many reasons. We are connecting with ourselves again.

This week could have some emotional swings for many. Swings are fun, but emotional swings ... not so much. Soooo...in your journey this month, you may have found yourself bumping up against challenges within your relationships or even experiencing resistance when it came to doing self-care.

This week I'd like you to reflect on what those experiences could mean for you. What growth opportunity is there for you? If you would like to explore these with me, I'm here for you. Many times it is hard to see the message when there are emotions in high swing.

Sending you all love. 💝

Remember - As an added challenge this month, I'd love to connect with you! Feel free to tag me on IG or Facebook Stories to share your Hygge challenge activities. I'd love to celebrate with you!

Until next week, see you in the Simply Hygge Facebook group!

Loads of Love,

Jacquie

P.S. Remember when I said I wanted to get back into boxing this past week? I did it! I've boxed twice this week and although the body is feeling sore, it is a good feeling again. I also read a little too, which was nice.

On the blog, there are a number of unique ideas for how to add some fun to your Hygge lifestyle - yes, even creating a pillow fort or an outdoor movie night...
