It's

Hygge

Time!

Your Week #4 Challenge Awaits...

This month's challenge has an "intentions" theme. Let's explore what that could mean for you...

The Hygge Lifestyle is very aligned with an intentional lifestyle. It takes you intentionally choosing to use your Hyggekrog for comfort in trying times. It is intentionally choosing to be more present within your relationships, and intentionally choosing to change things up when you find yourself bored in some way.

Week #1's challenge was to explore some of the Hygge Lifestyle principles and try to set some short term goals on:

  1. how you'd like your life to feel like,

  2. what you can do to bring more Hygge in your life, and

  3. paint the picture of what matters to you this year.

Week #2's challenge was to intentionally look at the boundaries and limits you are holding for yourself. The goals you set this month were done because you intentionally want to include more Hygge into your current lifestyle. In addition, I asked you to find your hyggekrog and get comfortable so you can see which ones intentionally stretch your current boundaries or limits; see which ones intentionally place a healthier boundary or limit that wasn't there before.

Last week's challenge was to find a way to start with those goals. What small step can you do today to intentionally add more hygge into your life? What can you promise yourself to do this week? What can you schedule in to finally make space for that one thing that seems hard to make time for?

This week's challenge is to lock into those goals and really understand why they are important to you. The Hygge Lifestyle is personal to your needs and desires. It flexes and adapts to your soul's desire. Therefore knowing why you are making the changes you want to make and why it matters to you is extremely important to keeping you on track when life goes sideways.

On Jan 13th, I made the decision to cut out soda. I haven't had one since. Now I've tried this before and it never stuck, but this time it was different. I really got clear on why I was doing it; I got clear on why it mattered so much to my life.

Once I had that clear picture I have been able to remind myself of it every time my cravings started. After I was able to get a week into this new healthier habit, I explored how I could get moving more and improve my flexibility. My intuition nudged me towards yoga and I've found a quick routine that I do in the morning and at the end of my workday.

Do you see the Fun Goal Tracker in the above picture? I was also guided to create this for myself but have added it into the VIP Portal (you will need your personal password to login...if you don't have one, please reply to this email and I will send you the link that was given to you in your welcome email) as a freebie for all of you as well. Each day I will start to color in the items for each of the types of goals I successfully attempted. The goal is to have a fully colored item for the week. If I miss a day then it won't be fully colored in but there will always be another week to follow.

The water drops for me represent the healthier drink options. The heart is my own self-care; whether that is exercise, spending time within my hyggekrog, intentional family time, or something else. Finally, the plant is my own growth; whether that be relating to my career, personal, relationships, or something else.

This is about taking one step at a time towards adding more hygge to your life. Hygge is intentionally choosing healthier ways of living and getting to know the beautiful person inside of you. Who's going to take that one step forward today?

Until next time, see you in the Simply Hygge Facebook group!
