This month's theme is about being "creative". It will be about creatively exploring what YOU need to bring more simplicity, balance, and connection within your life. September isn't always an easy month because there is a pull to naturally slow down within nature, but the changes to schedules often don't mimic what nature is telling us to do.
This is where looking within to see what we need to bring more simplicity, balance, and connection helps. The trick is trying to be creative about it, without complicating it.
In week #1, I challenged you to reflect on your life, and notice where the imbalance is, then ask yourself what can you do to bring more balance and get creative. The "go-to" hygge activities you would normally use may not be working as effectively as before...is it time to change them up?
Last week, I'd asked you to look at the areas you explored last week and start planning or changing things up. If it was a small adjustment, just do it and see what happens. If you enjoyed it or it works for you, great! If not, how can you adjust it a little more?
For me, I had drifted from what used to work for me and forgotten the benefits of those stolen moments for myself. I sat down to read a "fun" book and allowed myself to be drifted away into another land.
This week's challenge is a little later than normal. I apologize. As I was sitting, enjoying the quiet and my morning coffee, I wondered how the challenge would help me honor my own birthday today. Oops! I hadn't sent out the challenge...So very sorry!
Since the week of the Waxing Quarter Moon relates to space, this week's challenge is to get creative with your space. It doesn't need to be a huge change, but I'd like you to make a small change to a space that will bring a little more Hygglig feel to it.
This could be cleaning out that junk drawer that secretly annoys you when you walk into the room. It could be opening up the curtains or blinds to allow the sun to flow into the room more. What about adding a family photo, or cozy blanket, or a throw pillow to the space to make it feel more you?
I am challenging you to a small change that will make a big difference to how you feel walking into and enjoying the space. Remember there are no right or wrong answers here. Get creative and think simple.
As I explore what I could do this week, I'm going to steal a few more moments at my Hyggekrog and read before my first session of the day.
Remember - As an added challenge this month, I'd love to connect with you! Feel free to tag me on IG or Facebook Stories to share your Hygge challenge activities. I'd love to celebrate with you!
Until next week, see you in the Simply Hygge Facebook group!
Loads of Love,
Jacquie
