It's Hygge Time!

Your Week #3 Challenge Awaits...

This month's challenge has a "calming" theme. Let's explore what that could mean for you...

This month's energy has a positive ending, but a bit of a bumpy ride for many at the beginning. I keep getting a "holistic completion" message for the month. This tells me that no matter what happens this month we will find holistic ways to bring in some peace and positive energy for many in the world.

After much contemplation, I felt that finding some inner peace and knowing what calms us, both within our inner world and our home environment, would help everyone manage this storm with grace. It can be hard to find inner calm when there is chaos outside, but hygge principles have helped me manage my way through many storms over the years. Let's weather this one together, shall we?

In week #1, your challenge was to find comfortable places within your home that will give you a safe place for solitude, calming energy, peacefulness, and some balance. We call this your Hyggekrog. THEN after you found your Hyggekrog, I asked you to write yourself a love letter and ask yourself what signals are important for you to know when to slow down and seek moments within your Hyggekrog.

In week #2, your challenge was to notice when you need to slow down and to do it in some way. Remember that love letter from week #1? This is where it will come in handy.

Did you slow down and enjoy your Hyggekrog? Did you do some self-care to calm the inner storm?

This week, your challenge is to reflect on the times you found yourself needing to seek out the comfort of your Hyggekrog. What was happening during those moments or earlier throughout your day?

Many of my clients don't like it when I ask them to journal what's in their head, however, it is the fastest way to get through all of the things our brain is telling us. This is why I keep a journal or bring a journal to my hyggekrog when I'm seeking it out for comfort and safety.

The hyggekrog is your safe space to calm your inner storm. It is the place you have given yourself permission to be reflective and to focus on what matters to you.

The second part of this challenge, once you have identified the emotions or events surrounding those moments, is to allow yourself to reflect on why you felt that way and what you could give yourself permission to do or to release?

Hygge is connecting with nature, and the moon cycle helps us in our growth journey. The full moon week is about how we are manifesting the life we will love and what we can release that is holding us back from creating that life.

Remember - As an added challenge this month, I'd love to connect with you! Feel free to tag me on IG or Facebook Stories to share your Hygge challenge activities. I'd love to celebrate with you!

Until next week, see you in the Simply Hygge Facebook group!
