It's Hygge Time!

Your Week #3 Challenge Awaits...

As mentioned in Week #1, June begs us to explore that fun side of us. That is the theme for this month - Fun!

In Week #1, I challenged you to spend some time dreaming and journaling about the experiences you'd like to have while being Hyggelig. You were asked to reflect on:


What are the experiences you'd like to have using the Hygge principles: calm, comfort, and connection? Think fun experiences - ones that ooze joy! How would you feel while doing them? Who would be there with you?


Last week, we were exploring what we are willing to do to make those dreams possible. What were the fun activities you chose to add to your experiences? Where they simple to do or need a bit more planning?


This week, when life gets busy, I'd like you to pause and reflect on what matters most to you. Is saying yes to that thing going to be fun and bring you joy, or will it be just another obligation to do? If you have an option to say no, and then choose something on the fun list of experiences instead, how would that make you feel?


Over the years, we found we gravitated to friends that respected our decision to opt-out of activities to spend fun time with our kids. It seems silly to say this, but for years we felt obligated to say yes to everything, and we were all miserable (including the kids). Then we started creating time and giving ourselves permission to opt-out and it was magical!


In short, this week give yourself permission to say yes to at least one fun activity and say no to at least one thing you can opt-out of. Do what matters to you. Have fun and enjoy your week!
