It's Hygge Time!

Your Week #2 Challenge Awaits...

This month's challenge has a "calming" theme. Let's explore what that could mean for you...

This month's energy has a positive ending, but a bit of a bumpy ride for many at the beginning. I keep getting a "holistic completion" message for the month. This tells me that no matter what happens this month we will find holistic ways to bring in some peace and positive energy for many in the world.

After much contemplation, I felt that finding some inner peace and knowing what calms us, both within our inner world and our home environment, would help everyone manage this storm with grace. It can be hard to find inner calm when there is chaos outside, but hygge principles have helped me manage my way through many storms over the years. Let's weather this one together, shall we?

In week #1, your challenge is to find comfortable places within your home that will give you a safe place for solitude, calming energy, peacefulness, and some balance. We call this your Hyggekrog. THEN after you found your Hyggekrog, I asked you to write yourself a love letter and ask yourself what signals are important for you to know when to slow down and seek moments within your Hyggekrog.

This week, your challenge is to notice when you need to slow down and to do it in some way. Remember that love letter from last week? This is where it will come in handy.

When you are feeling or experiencing any of those signs ask yourself how you can take a moment to rebalance your energies. Why is this important?

Because when we ignore the signs we push ourselves into overwhelm and are beating ourselves up emotionally, then mentally and physically.

The goal is to love ourselves enough to listen to the signs and rebalance in some way.

Today, I have been working on the Hygge It! course planning, and along with other content creation, I have been pushing myself instead of going inflow. I noticed it when I chose not to take a break before writing this email.

So, instead of taking a full break, I compromised by using my ebony desk hippo to help ground me as I write this. Meet Tula👇

While I love my Hyggekrog's, I don't always have the luxury to enjoy them during my workday. Instead, I'll find other ways to ground my energies and rebalance when the inner storm is starting to show itself. Sometimes this is a brief visit outside to let the sun hit my face, or listen to music and dancing like no one can see me.

What are some ways you can calm yourself to focus on what matters when you are feeling scattered?

Allow your soul to show you when to slow down and calm the inner storm. Please remember this. We will get through what's ahead because we have each other and we have Hygge to help keep us focused on what matters most to us.

Remember - As an added challenge this month, I'd love to connect with you! Feel free to tag me on IG or Facebook Stories to share your Hygge challenge activities. I'd love to celebrate with you!

Until next week, see you in the Simply Hygge Facebook group!

Loads of Love,

Jacquie
