It's

Hygge

Time!

Your Week #2 Challenge Awaits...

This month's challenge has a "grounding" theme. Let's explore what that could mean for you...

The energy flowing in for March is to help us with grounding support. I'm going to use this message of learning to trust we are grounded, learning to feel grounded within this month's Hygge Challenge.

Once again, Universe has provided a clear link to Hygge Lifestyle and what is needed to help us feel supported on many levels.

The Hygge Lifestyle is deeply connected to nature and being able to find ways to connect with nature to help with healing and to know we are supported through whatever we are going through.

Over the month, I will be sending you a weekly challenge to help you find ways to connect and ground with nature. There is a video below that talks about the benefits of Earthing (grounding our energies) as part of your challenge for Week #1, I encouraged you to watch it.

The second part of Week #1's challenge was to create a list of ways you can connect with nature this month and commit to doing 2-3 of them. If you need ideas to help you connect with nature the blog and if you are still stuck, email me or ask the question in the Facebook group.

For this week's challenge, I am asking you to commit to being mindful of how you are feeling physically and the emotions you are experiencing. Before reacting as normal, I ask that you do one of the ways you committed to ground yourself to help let go of whatever is happening for you. (I explain down below)

God's loving energy comes from Earth to help ground us in His love. So when we are feeling "off" that is the signal we are needed to connect with Him on a deeper level to allow us to release and heal. This is spiritual I know, but it is also extremely effective for mindset and physical healing.

The week we are entering, is centered around boundaries, resources, space, and knowing we are supported through any choice we are willing to make for ourselves. When things become overwhelming, or we feel like we are drained, or we find ourselves bullying others in some way then we are "off-balance". Physically this "off" feeling comes through tension in our bodies as we prepare for a fight in some way, or feel like we need to prepare for the worst or defend ourselves.

Yesterday, I received news that my Dad had passed. Needless to say, my foundations shook hard. I found myself at each moment of the day, sitting within a hyggekrog (many of them as I needed a change in scenery). Being able to ground helped me sit in the void of my feelings and thoughts. It helped me to have those conversations with God to sort through my own questions.

When I do this judgment isn't allowed in the void. The void is a loving cocoon of space meant for just me and Spirit. When I'm here in that void, I am grounded in His loving energy. I ground in many ways but often it is by sitting in my hyggekrogs (looking at nature), holding a wooden carving or another natural element, standing in a tree pose (yoga) as I focus my attention on the support beneath my feet, and using a grounding mat while I sleep or meditate. There are many other ways, but for now, these are helping while the snow covers my favorite grounding tool (my yard).

Until next time, see you in the Simply Hygge Facebook group!

Loads of Love,

On the blog, there are a number of unique ideas for how to add some fun to your Hygge lifestyle - yes, even creating a pillow fort or an outdoor movie night...
