With 2013 almost at its end, it is with great pleasure that we look back at the successful year that has passed: we welcomed back many our most regular guests, guests of previous years again returned to our company and we had the pleasure of receiving many new guests for a first stay at our hotel.

For the second year in a row, the hotel was awarded with an international award at the World Travel Awards, recognising the quality of service and the continued effort to surpass guests expectations; after being Mediterranean's Leading Hotel in 2012, this year's we are Europe's Leading Golf Resort. And it is with the upmost pleasure that the hotel has just been nominated for the award of Worlds Leading Golf Resort!

Last but not least, we completely renovated our SPA offerings with the introduction of the Anne Semonin products and treatments. It was very pleasing to hear many of our guests praise the new facial and body treatments, and we hope to further expand our offerings throughout next year.


We now look forward to an even better 2014 and hope to have the pleasure of welcoming back in our hotel.

The World Travel Awards acknowledge and recognise excellence in the global travel and tourism industry, being hailed as the ‘Oscars of the travel industry' by the global media and regarded as the very highest achievement that a travel product could hope to receive.

At this years European World Travel Awards ceremony, the service of the hotel and the exceptional quality of the golf courses in Quinta do Lago were once again recognised, with hotel winning the awards for Europe's Leading Golf Resort and Portugal's Leading Resort.

Portugal and the Algarve also reigned supreme in this year’s ceremony: the former won the award for Europe’s Leading Golf Destination and the Algarve was recognised as Europe's Leading Beach Destination.

And it is with the upmost pleasure that the hotel has just been nominated for the award of Worlds Leading Golf Resort. The award ceremony will take place on the 30th of November and we sincerely look forward to the occasion  with great hopes of winning this prestigious award and recognition.

Since 2004, Hotel Quinta do Lago has received forty two nominations and 9 seven prestigious World Travel Awards, recognising the hotel’s never-ending pursuit of providing unforgettable services and experiences that delight the demanding guests it receives.
