October 22, 2013 Trade Alert - Big Bear Portfolio

Due to a general lack of interest and the small remaining amount, we will discontinue this portfolio.  While it operated, it performed its task of providing protection against a declining market.  Unfortunately, ever since we set up this account, the market has chugged steadily higher and eaten away at the portfolio’s value:

BTC 1 SPY Nov-13 171 put (SPY131116P171)
STC 1 SPY Dec-13 174 put (SPY131221P174) for a credit of $2.43  (selling a diagonal)

Be prepared to change this price limit by $.05 or more in order to get an execution. .
