If you are a new homeschooler, you might still be wondering, "Do I have to use CAPS?". Perhaps you're using a CAPS curriculum and it's stressing you out. Your children should work on essential skills like math and languages, but we recommend that they also have time and freedom to pursue other things – like other academic subjects they choose, music, hobbies, sport, business ventures, charity work or whatever takes their fancy.

These ‘other things’ are often the things that children end up pursuing as their careers! These are the things that delight, inspire and motivate them and uncapped home education allows them to get a head start in those things!

At about age 15, you can choose one of the popular school exit exam options that homeschoolers use. A CAPS matric is not the only option.
