Children from story-rich homes are estimated to hear about 1.4 million more

words during storybook reading than children who are never read to. This impacts their language abilities and almost all their other academic skills.

For centuries children have learned by listening to stories told to them by their elders. Neuroscience confirms that it's the way our brains are hard-wired to learn and our customers and our own university graduates testify that they remember much more from all the stories read aloud to them, than from textbooks.
