I can hardly believe the first month of the new year is almost over! For me, this is a good time to take stock and make sure I’m really ready to meet my goals for the rest of 2018.

What about you? Have you clearly defined your 2018 goals? Do you have a plan in place to actually work towards those goals? Are you implementing that plan or have you already ditched your “new year’s resolutions” this month?

Here's one holiday I hope you're NOT celebrating! The website HolidayInsights.com provides dozens of unusual holidays for every month of the year, many of which you probably don’t celebrate!

But what does it tell us about human nature that there is a so-called holiday for giving up on your goals for the new year? And that holiday is barely 2 weeks into the year! The good news is that, if we find ourselves falling off the wagon in relation to whatever resolution we might have set, we can always climb back on, hopefully with a more realistic goal and a reasonable plan for what steps we’ll take to achieve it.

I’m giving away a holiday marketing calendar each month, that includes major holidays as unusual, fun days like “Penguin Awareness Day” on January 20th. Holidays like this can be a fun way to engage your clients, customers, students, and prospects.
