Subject: Why Focus Matters More Than Flow 😳

Hi Friend,

In my yoga classes this weekend, I encouraged everyone to choose an intention and, as if shooting an arrow forward, to focus on this intention and send it into the future.

Today, I'm asking you the same question: What do you want? What is one intention, one goal, one arrow that you want to shoot into the future?

Once you know what you want, focus your attention forward toward it. In yoga, this is what we call drishti.

Why Focus Matters

Focus is the bedrock of all achievements. Through consistent, dedicated focus, we can tackle challenges, learn new skills, and make meaningful progress in our personal and professional lives. While flow states can be fleeting and unpredictable, focus is a reliable, consistent companion that you can cultivate and rely on daily.

Building Trust and Responsibility

When you make small agreements with yourself—such as committing to a daily goal—you reinforce your ability to trust yourself.

Each time you honor these commitments, you demonstrate reliability with yourself and build a strong foundation of self-respect and responsibility. This process, in turn, enhances your capacity to stay focused on your broader objectives.

Embracing the Unknown

Let me remind you that life is full of uncertainties, and embracing the unknown can be daunting. However, when you can maintain focus on a goal and when you trust yourself - you can navigate these uncertainties with resilience.

By concentrating on what is important to you and taking consistent steps forward, you gradually become more resilient in the face of change.

Shoot your arrow

Today, take a moment to set a small agreement with yourself for this week.

Stick to this agreement every day and watch how it transforms your ability to maintain focus.

Remember, focus is not just a tool for productivity; it's a pathway to loving your life and living your best life - because you are intentionally creating it!

There's one more question left to ask ~>
what's the best that can happen?

Wishing you good dristhi,

Heidi
