Subject: When you get home—what’s the first thing you do? 🤔

Hi Friend,

Maybe, like me, you walk in the door, do the first couple tasks BUT then, sure enough, without even realising…
you’re scrolling on your phone.

The truth? We’re absorbing more information than we can process. 🤕

And this overstimulation has become “normal” 🤯 as has its side effects—trouble sleeping, heightened anxiety, and the nagging feeling of always being “on.”

That’s where Homebody comes in.

Homebody Yoga is more than just a yoga class—it’s an invitation to create a dedicated pocket of space in your home for real relaxation, an intentional chill zone that lets you unwind and fully reset.

Whether you roll out your mat in your living room or have a dedicated room, this is your time to put away distractions and reconnect with yourself.

Creating a habit of relaxation in your home can make rest feel more accessible and guilt-free.

Here's a some suggestions to bring more peace into your space:
7 Tips to Create Your At-Home Sanctuary

  1. Create a Dedicated Spot: Whether it’s a corner in your living room or a spot by the window in the bedroom where you can roll out your mat or it's an entire room that you dedicate to your chill zone - having a consistent space sets the stage for prioritising you time and giving yourself permission to chill - at home
    .

  2. Light a Candle or Incense or Burn Sage/Palo Santo: This can help clear the air - reset from the mental and emotional space you were in before and can be used to set an intention or give gratitude for the session.

  3. Warm Lighting: Soft, warm light from candles or lamps can help signal to your brain that it’s time to relax.

  4. Comfortable Mat & Props: A good yoga mat, a cozy blanket, and props like blocks or bolsters can support your body when building strength and can support your body as you ease into restorative poses and deep relaxation.

  5. Soundscape: If it’s too quiet, a gentle playlist or soundscapes like flowing water or nature sounds can bring you to a place of calm.

  6. Set Boundaries: Make this space a “phone-free zone.” Allow yourself to be fully present in the experience without the distractions.

  7. Be Here Now: this scented emotion potion is the quick, effortless way to relax a busy mind before yoga. Just spritz into your hands and take 4 deep breaths as you inhale to unwind at home to feel instantly lighter and more at ease. If you enjoy a diffuser, you can let Be Here Now fill the room.

Got plans TOMORROW?

I'm super excited to get started and could not be happier that the first class will be a deeply restorative yin class on the November 1st New Moon, this Friday.

There's one more question left to ask you Friend ~> what's the best that can happen?

Wishing you candlelit cosiness,

Heidi
