Hi Friend,
At this point in February, your inbox is probably overflowing with love-themed emails and Valentine’s promotions. But not this one.
This email is all about YOU and an invitation to become more intentional with the seasons (and maybe less intentional with those capitalist hallmark holidays).
The season matters a lot. Think of it as the unique section of a symphony orchestra—each playing its own part, setting the rhythm for light, food, mood, and even your wardrobe.
But have you ever felt at odds with the seasonal change?
Four years ago, I entered Winter completely unprepared. I wasn’t ready for darker days, for the mood set by candlelight, or for the practicalities like having winter veggies at hand and wood chopped for those dark, wet days. I didn’t feel ready—and I decided I didn’t want to live like that anymore.
So I took time to reflect and intentionally plan how I wanted to feel and be during each season, and what I’d need at each turning point.

Now, as we move from Winter into Spring, here are some things that feel even more important than Valentine’s Day: Planting seeds for Summer, Fall, and Winter. Reviewing your activity, health, and relationships from Winter. Burning off some of that heavy winter energy. Creating more energy from within—especially if you’ve been running on empty.
| | Water (representing the Kidney/Bladder meridians) is soft, deep, relentless and regenerative—think storms, snowflakes, waterfalls, trickles, ice, and even boiling water.
But wood? It’s solid—roots, standing tall, fire, smoke, and ash. Wood is a different type of transformation—it stirs up anger, frustration, and that salty sting of pain. But when you work through it, those feelings transform into inner strength, determination and focus.

So if you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated, it’s time to channel that energy into action.
