Hi Friend,
The birds are singing from dawn to dusk, new blooms are sprouting, and every day gets a little brighter… but fresh starts also mean letting go—and that’s where things get tricky. Am I wrong?
It’s easy to say we’re ready for a new season, but real change asks us to shed the old. Habits, thought patterns, even deeply ingrained beliefs need to transform for the new to fully take root.
I could feel this resistance in my own body today on the mat. Mentally, I knew the pose. I knew the freedom it would bring. I had the strength to hold it. But I didn’t want to. It felt like I was banging my head against a wall.
And then I realized—the pose wasn’t the problem. My resistance to the pose was the problem.
So I reached for serenity. I cleared my mind and focused on my breath.
💭 I am where I am meant to be.
I am safe here.
I am enough here. I can be here. I can breathe here.💭
With each breath, my body softened. My mind stopped fighting itself. And suddenly, I wanted to go deeper—not because I forced it, but because I allowed it.
✨ That’s what this season is about. Leaning into vision, trust, and action.
If you’re feeling a little meh and overwhelmed instead of motivated and renewed, you’re not alone. Transitions—especially seasonal ones—can stir up all kinds of emotional frustration and physical tension.
Spring is a great time to move through it.
That’s why I created Homebody—a method to move with the seasons, balance your body’s energy, and feel at home in yourself. We meet every Tuesday & Thursday to give your body exactly what it needs, physically, emotionally, energetically and seasonally.
I know for me, as I look forward towards Solstice and Autumn Equinox, I need to:
🔥 Harness the foundation I built in winter (Kidneys)
🌿 Clarify my vision and direction (Liver)
🛤️ Make decisions and take action (Gallbladder & Stomach)
🌬️ Let go of what’s weighing me down (Large Intestine & Lungs)
❤️ Open my heart and lead with inner wisdom (Heart)
How to Upgrade Your Routine This Spring (Without Overhauling Your Life)
1️⃣ Move like nature—gradual, expansive, fluid.
Overstretching or pushing too hard actually blocks energy flow. (Hint: Liver & Gallbladder meridians need extra love this season!)
2️⃣ Make space in your body = make space in your life.
Side stretches, hip openers, and twists aren’t just physical—they help process emotions and shake off frustration, irritability, and overwhelm.
3️⃣ Support your system with emotional clearing.
Spring can bring up frustration, impatience, and the urge to rush ahead. (⚡ Shield Emotion Potion is a gamechanger for this.)
4️⃣ Small shifts = big energy upgrades.
Maybe a “Go for a 5km run every day” is not going to motivate you if you hate running and can barely get out of bed. Maybe your first hour of the day could be painting, journaling, meditating, walking or a homebody replay.
I know this sounds silly but try this:
Ask yourself, If I won the lottery and money wasn’t an issue, what would I do first thing in the morning?
Find what lights you up—and build toward it. Motivation is created by knowing your vision. If you’re struggling with that clarity, liver meridian acupressure points can help.
