Subject: Reset for the Week Ahead 🌕

Release tension and set the tone for a grounded, productive week.

Hi Friend,

I still remember the first time I committed to a restorative yoga class—it was a 10 AM Monday morning session, and let me tell you, it felt like a pipe dream! Who has time for yoga on a Monday morning!! At the time, I was working for myself, but my mind was still stuck in the “9-5” programming. Could I really plan my day so that a mid-morning yoga class was possible? It took me six months to get there.

When I finally did, that one decision changed everything. I showed up to class, feeling awkward and unsure, but by the end of that hour, I was hooked. For the first time, I felt what it was like to prioritize my nervous system over my to-do list. It was powerful—almost rebellious—and it set the tone for my entire week. I left that class and most Monday mornings thereafter; recharged, energized, and more clear than ever.

What’s funny is that showing up for that one class rippled into other areas of my life. I made two important friendships because of it—one with the teacher and the other with the barista at the coffee shop I would go to every Monday after class to work. I started to ask myself, Is this what balance feels like?

Up until then, relaxation had meant collapsing into a nap out of sheer exhaustion or “switching off” with a screen yet remaining tense and still buzzing. That class taught me something vital: relaxation is a skill—and like any skill, it can be learned.

So I'm curious Friend, would you say you prioritize—your to-do-list or your nervous system more?

If your nervous system deserves some some attention, I’d love to invite you to tonight’s Full Moon Restorative Yoga class. It’s the perfect space to cultivate relaxation, balance, and inner peace—skills that ripple into every area of life.

What Is Restorative Yoga?

Restorative yoga is about deep rest and renewal.

With longer-held poses supported by props like blankets or blocks, you release tension slowly and deeply.

It’s not just about unwinding. Restorative yoga activates your parasympathetic nervous system (aka your rest-and-digest mode), allowing your body to heal the fascia and replenish energy reserves. Think of it as a full-system reboot—physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Focus on the Kidney & Bladder Meridian

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the kidney and bladder meridians are the gatekeepers of your energy reserves and emotional resilience.

They’re linked to:

  • Physical energy: Stamina, focus, and drive.

  • Fear and anxiety: Letting go of fear to find inner calm.

  • Willpower: Strength to face challenges and stay steady under pressure.

Tonight’s poses and breathwork will gently activate these meridians, releasing built-up tension and restoring balance.

Mondays can feel like a mountain, but starting your week with restorative yoga shifts everything:

  • Clarity & Focus: Clear the mental clutter for sharper thinking.

  • Inner Resilience: Stay grounded and calm, no matter what comes your way.

  • Better Sleep: Deep, uninterrupted rest so you wake up refreshed.
