Subject: How to BE EFFECTIVE and to GO with the FLOW 😏😍

Hi beautiful,

Have you heard the about the two gardeners?

Well, each of them planted a seed in the soil.

One gardener was very anxious: every day he dug up the seed just to see how it was doing.
"I must check on the seed."
"I must know what's going on."
"I must do something."

So he picked up the seed, examined it, and then planted it again.
Frustrated by its lack of progress, 
"I'll never harvest a rich crop from such a slow seed".
He constantly worried about how it would grow and continually focused on its lack of growth.

The other gardener was excited to see what could happen with such a tiny seed. 
He would come back to the place where he had planted the seed and sit there, sometimes singing to the seed and talking to it. He would carry water with him to water the seed, and while he was there he would water the other plants and crops in the area too. He enjoyed his time tending to the seed and the environment. He didn't even realise he was being patient, while he enjoyed each day. In time (much sooner than he anticipated) he saw the little leaves gently pushing through the soil towards the light...

Which gardener are you?

I'm finding that to be effective and to go with the flow, it's essential that I ALLOCATE TIME for 
  1. focused investment on the tasks that align with my priorities which align with the bigger goals that I'm moving towards.

(sometimes this is work I adore and sometimes it's the stuff i don't necessarily love, but it will yield profitable results over time.)

ALLOCATE TIME for

    2. relaxation and inspiration during the day and week for uplifting priorities, where I do not look at my phone, I am present with myself or who I am with. I can do what I feel like in the moment with the sole objective to relax and enjoy.

(sometimes this can be taking a nap, going to the nearest park or woodland or coast, going to the library/cafe to read, wandering around town, going on a mountaineering adventure, rock climbing, going on a date)

And the cherry on the top to be effective in execution and relaxation is... ZERO PHONE.

Last night i left my phone at home when I went on a walk. No music, no podcast, just me and my thoughts. And do you know what? The thoughts that came through would have not come through if I was distracted on my phone.

When you focus on them, invest fully.

  • Know what your personal priorities are, &
When you experience them, invest fully.

Zero phone, Full presence.
