Hi Friend!
How’s the last Sunday in September feeling for you?
I’m writing from Upstate New York, where I’m in the middle of my Meridian Yoga Therapy Practitioner Level 2 training (my 3rd visit and training this year!!), and let me tell you—I am absolutely amazed by the incredible technology within our bodies to heal themselves when we work with them in the right way. 💫
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the working theory is that overwhelming emotions can manifest physically, creating muscle tension, shallow breathing, and even impacting our organs. I’ve been learning so much about how our bodies hold onto stress and how, by understanding the organs and energy pathways (meridians), we can move energy (QI) through the body, release tension, and build vitality and longevity in areas that feel weak or drained.
My Personal Experience with Pain
When I arrived here, I was in a lot of physical pain—something I’ve experienced periodically that Western medicine might call "sciatica" combined with "restless leg syndrome." And if you’ve ever dealt with these, you know the frustration of being told, “There’s no real solution beyond painkillers” or “Just take a painkiller.”
I’ve spent years studying myself through psychology, astrology, and yoga, so I knew that this pain wasn’t just physical; it had emotional and psychological roots as well. But this is where Western medicine often falls short. It treats each symptom in isolation, ignoring the deeper connections between mind, body, lifestyle, and spirit.
Even with all of my emotional intelligence and yoga practices, I still couldn’t fully prevent or treat this pain. I’ve spent many sleepless nights pacing up and down or even dancing through the early hours of the morning, trying to "move the pain through my body." I knew something was missing in how I approached my physical healing.
The Power of Meridian Yoga and Chinese Medicine
What I love about Meridian Yoga and Traditional Chinese Medicine is how they treat the body holistically. They see the physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and lifestyle aspects of a person as deeply interconnected. It’s a whole-human approach that looks at how everything works together.
I’m feeling more at home in this yoga practice than ever because:
I get the benefits of strengthening and healing my body while also promoting self-healing of specific organs and areas that need attention.
This yoga isn’t about vanity or fitness—it’s about regeneration and helping your body function at its best, from the inside out.
I never would have imagined that pressing specific points on the body could lead to such fast healing, or that the body could heal itself so profoundly. And here’s the most amazing part—after just 24 hours of practicing these techniques (using yoga postures, cupping, moxa, and acupressure), my excruciating restless leg pain has completely disappeared. 🙌 I’m truly in awe of how quickly it worked.
What This Means for You
If this approach resonates with you—if you’re interested in learning how to balance your body, mind, and emotions holistically—then stay tuned. I have so much more to share with you about these practices, and I’m excited to integrate these healing techniques into my upcoming offerings. 🌿
I’m thrilled to be on this journey with you, and I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned to help you feel your absolute best.
