Subject: Do you feel guilty for taking time for yourself? 👀

Hi Friend,

Do you ever feel guilty for taking time for yourself? Like there’s always something more “productive” you should be doing?

Or maybe your calendar is packed with everyone else’s needs, and you completely forget to make space for you. And the idea of asserting boundaries - fills you with... let me guess it? Guilt.

I get it.

And with everything going on in the world—the news, collective challenges, and the ever-present change—it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by forces beyond our control.

So, how do we navigate this intensity and embrace the unknown so that a new path can unfold?

I think the first rule for any successful plan is

 â€œMake your base secure.”

The second? â€œDon’t take shortcuts.”

And I believe the same applies to our personal health.

When life feels out of my control, I focus on what I can do.

Sometimes it’s as simple as gathering wood for the fire, sending that email, or taking Rex and Ted for a walk.

Rex (the wise pup) always says—there’s no problem a good walk can’t solve. 🐾

In this world of constant noise and competition, it’s essential to stand up for yourself with clarity and logic—rooted and steady, with both feet firmly on the ground. 🏔️ Mountain pose.

When we are steady and frustrations arise, we can be creative and compassionate instead of restrictive and reactive.

One of my favorite principles from Stephen Covey is this:

"Seek first to understand, then to be understood."

It’s easy to become intolerant of differing views, but that very space—where intolerance grows—is the same place where larger injustices like war, harm to animals, and damage to our planet take root.

Only by facing your own pain and injustice can you find the tolerance and compassion for other's pain and injustice.

So how do we build that steady ground, this inner resilience?

We begin with the body.

One breath at a time.

One position at a time.

A simple but powerful yoga pose that allows you to release what’s weighing you down, both physically and emotionally: ☯️ Forward Fold.

Here’s why I love it:

1️⃣ Stretches the entire back body, relieving tension.

2️⃣ Stimulates your gallbladder meridian - which supports the digestive system, liver detox and sleep from 11pm - 1 am

3️⃣ Calms the nervous system, creating a sense of inner peace.

4️⃣ Mentally, it invites introspection and a release of mental clutter.

💡 Bonus Heidi Tip: While you’re folded, gently press into the GB20 acupressure point (located at the base of your skull in the hairline). This powerful point helps relieve headaches, tension, decision making, and good judgement. What course is right for me? It helps us find our life direction anytime we are wallowing in procrastination or indecision. A small action with big rewards! 🙏 Join me for yoga class to find out exactly where it is on your head and how to set yourself up the position for maximum benefit!

For the next three months, as we venture into winter, I invite you to venture into yourself.

Settle into your body as your sanctuary and create a space in your home that reflects that sanctuary. I’ll be sharing the full details on Tuesday!

And if you’re finding yourself tossing and turning at night, overwhelmed by anxious thoughts about the collective or you need to reconnect to your body, mind and purpose, the Chill Emotion Potion was designed just for times like these.

Chill contains the “life purpose” flower essence, aligning you with your most fulfilling path—because when you’re connected to your purpose, everything feels a little lighter, doesn’t it?

Whereas if it's guilt, impatience and staying stuck on patterns of the past that's throwing you off course, NEW PATH's specific formulation of flower essences helps you to

  • feel more confident with new decisions and direction

  • release the guilt of the past and that sense of feeling stuck

  • switch overwhelm and impatience for enjoyment and presence with what’s unfolding on your new path

There's one more question left to ask you Friend ~> what's the best that can happen?

Wishing you steady strength to embrace change so that a new path can unfold,

Heidi
