Subject: 4 self love hacks ❣️

Hi Friend,


Flipping through a magazine at the hairdresser, I couldn't help but think how we are conditioned to not love ourselves.

So how do we love ourselves more especially if you have a hard time loving yourself.


Because, let's be real, we could all use a little more self-love. Here are 4 simple ways to start:

  1. Love Nature 🌿 I find the fastest way to access love no matter how down or annoyed I feel - go outside and count all the shades of green I can see. Just take a few moments and once you start noticing shades, more will appear. Each time you count another colour, enjoy the beauty and lean into the gratitude. If you're in a city, count the colour white or even yellow. Nature has a magical way of grounding us and reminding us of the simple joys.

  2. Love Your Things 💖 Look around and appreciate the things you own and the things you use everyday. An item might have a story or a memory attached or it might be incredibly practical. Sometimes, if I'm struggling to find joy in the little things, I'll start by saying "I love this pillow. I love this blanket. This is the best pillow."

  3. Do What You Say; Say What You Mean 🗣️ Be your own leader! Say to your inner critic "not today" and replace those doubtful thoughts with one small action forward. If you say you're going to do something, follow through. It's a small act, but it builds trust and confidence in yourself.

  4. Positive Affirmation 🌟 Be your own cheerleader! Celebrate the small victories. Did you go for a walk, make a decision, or tackle a project you've been avoiding? With my dog Rex, it has taken over 10,000 times to affirming him or discipling him. I say "good job Rex!" And well I tell him "good job!", now I say it to myself too "nice job Heidi!" Acknowledging actions, no matter how small, is the self-love game-changer.

Remember, you're doing your best, and that's pretty darn fantastic!
