#2 Flow don't force There's nothing worse than paddling upstream. Of course, we all need a bit of challenge in order to feel a full sense of achievement and accomplish. But there's a difference to pushing a wall and thinking if you push harder it will give you wings to fly. If you find yourself in a rut (with your body, mind, work, relationship), ask yourself how "flow" would feel in the situation.
#3 Give yourself some downtime Check in with your body - do you need some downtime? Winter can be exhausting - especially January & February, when we are motivating ourselves to make the most of the new year. Allowing yourself to have a break is a wise choice. Come to restorative today or if you're at home put your feet up against the wall while listening to some gentle music. Practice some of the breathing techniques from class. The deeper and slower you breath, the better you will feel. |
