Subject: How to Thrive in 2022 Despite Adversity

Alright Friend,

This one is from the heart. Today's lesson is simple. I think you'll find this valuable if you read to the end.

Today's message also won't be the first time you've heard this, but the WHY is even more important than the WHAT in this case.

It's so basic: Don't wait.

"Don't wait to do what, Chris?"

Don't wait to get help for any health challenges you continue to face into the new year. (Now hold on! I don't just mean PT!)

2021 was a challenging year on so many levels. It was understandable to put off your weight loss goals, see a counselor, start an exercise program, or get help for an addiction.

No one knows how things will play out with the current pandemic. I know several of you reading this have experienced great loss. I don't know what you've been through.

But, since I've met nearly every person reading this, I know you are an incredible human being and capable of great things if you choose to put your self-care first in 2022.

Why should you put your self-care first in 2022? Because you deserve it. Your family deserves it. Taking care of that aching back or addressing major depression will help you find greater joy in the things that matter most to you: whether that's spending time with your family, traveling abroad, or just walking around the block.

Don't wait another six months until "things quiet down," or your "schedule becomes perfect" to start working on your personal goals. Those times may never manifest. Choose to commit to yourself today. Who knows what will happen in 2023?

Today is the day! Make that first appointment with your physician. Find a counselor. Join a support group. Let's thrive together in 2022.
