Hey Friend,
You may be surprised to learn that bad posture doesn't always explain the cause of ongoing nagging neck and back pain.
It seems counter-intuitive, right?
I mean: how could bad posture NOT cause pain when gravity is always pushing down on us?
Well, we can't deny studies make a poor (or minimal) connection between poor posture and pain.
The problem is that it's more complex than simply stating poor posture leads to (or doesn't lead to) pain in your hips, back, or neck.
You have to look at things in context of the person: do they vary their posture often? Are there muscles imbalances? Is there a shift in the spine (scoliosis)? These are just a few factors to consider among many other things.
If you've always wanted to learn more about how your posture DOES play a role in nagging neck or back pain (And what to do about it!), check out our latest blog HERE. Hint: the key is not having "perfect" posture, it's in variety of movement. "The best posture is the next posture." |
