Hi Friend,
In this email, I'm going to share my Top 3 things I recommend doing RIGHT NOW if you're feeling anxious, fatigued, or depressed from being locked down with the pandemic.
These days, I feel like we're seeing an increasing amount of mental health crises from all the social isolation. If you're feeling that way, you are NOT alone. Every day, at least 3-4 patients share heart-wrenching experiences with us.
I wanted to share my top 3 recommendations to help keep you motivated and in the right frame of mind to keep moving forward: - Remember to practice daily gratitude and grace. Set aside 5 minutes each day to either write down or meditate on 2-3 things you are grateful for. Forgive yourself for any self-imposed goals you haven't met yet. It's ok. You're experiencing an unprecedented amount of stressors right now.
- Make sure you are MOVING at least a LITTLE BIT each hour. It's important for the health of your bones, mind, muscles, and other tissues to get up and move at least a few minutes each hour. It doesn't have to be a lot. Even just walking around the house and doing 1-2 stretches. If you're finding your current home exercises overwhelming, break it down into small chunks. A few exercises every hour. Make it manageable.
- Decrease mainstream news consumption by at least 25%. Is watching the news really helping your mental state right now? Most mainstream media is fear-based, and I believe massively increases our levels of stress if left unchecked. Try to reduce or cut it out entirely. I guarantee you'll feel better.
- BONUS Tip: Make sure you're getting exposure to enough light. If you have a history of depression, talk to your healthcare provider about getting a bright light box. It's kept me going during the worst of times, and there is great evidence behind bright-light therapy.
The 30,000 foot view is: Make small, consistent changes to your goals. Every day is going to present different challenges. Just be consistent with SMALL steps towards a bigger goal. Forgive yourself for not getting everything "done" or "right."

On another note, I had the pleasure of sitting down with a former patient, Jamillah. She shared her story of how we helped her overcome nearly 15 years of back & hip pain, when nothing else worked. Please check it out (click the image below) and share it with a friend. |
| | | Hey: If you found even an ounce of value in what I shared above, would you do us a small favor?
We're working hard to fill the schedule of our new Therapist. Beth needs more quality people on her schedule, just like you!
While Beth may be new with us, She's not new to healthcare. Beth is a phenomenal therapist, with over 14 years of experience. She is personable, empathetic, and shares the exact same hands-on treatment philosophy as I do.
If you like what we stand for... please consider sharing the video above with a friend or family member, or nudge them to give us a call. |
| CANDY UPDATE: A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of capturing some lovely "Forget Me Not" photos with Candy. We feel so blessed to have these photos to cherish when Candy passes. These photos were done by Cheryl with "Express Yourself Unleashed." Here's a sample of one of our favorites:
