Subject: Big Changes At HCPT in 2024: A heartfelt letter from me to you

Dear Valued Patients And Community:

I want to update everyone on some exciting developments at Healthy Consumer PT in 2024 that have the potential to greatly improve your care in the future.

First, I’m so grateful to be writing to you again. 2022-2023 presented unique challenges with my health, and I’m so blessed to be back in a space where I can help others ease their suffering.

Thank you for all the well wishes, calls, emails, texts, etc. I’m eternally grateful to everyone who supported me and gave me grace during the last 1.5 years. The depth of my gratitude extends beyond words.

Briefly, I have to flat-out say: I’m sure that some communications and expectations slipped through the cracks while I was ill for an extended period of time. If you felt you were one of those people, I apologize and hope you’ll reconsider us for any of your physical therapy or personal training needs.

In the last 6 months, I have slowly eased back into patient care and gradually began to plan for the future of our practice. During my own healing journey, I have developed a renewed sense of compassion and empathy. I’m in awe at the capacity at which we can heal and recover, and it is my mission and goal to spread that hope to others. I’m now going to apply what I’ve learned to help patients with chronic pain and hypermobility
During this time, I was also approached by another talented therapist who recently joined our team at HCPT. Her name is Samantha Newell.

Samantha shares our goal of individualized care for those living with chronic pain, hypermobility, or Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). Samantha very openly admits that she has EDS herself. So she has that personal experience on top of her professional knowledge.

Hypermobility syndromes and chronic pain have become a cornerstone of what we treat. So it was a perfect fit. You can learn more about Samantha on her bio page here.

As we’ve worked back up to full steam, we also realized we need more help. We are hiring a “Patient Care Advocate & Digital Media Coordinator.”

Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart for your patience, grace, and understanding. We look forward to serving the Greater Lansing community in 2024 and beyond.
Gratefully,
Dr. Chris Sovey, DPT, RN, BSN
