I have some simple and important questions for Maui fire Chief Brad Ventura:
How many fire fighters were dispatched to Lahaina? At what time? How many engine trucks were on the scene? Where were they? How many hoses were turned on and used? How many structures did they put water on? How long did the fire fighters stay on the scene? When were they told to stand down? Who was the incident commander? Who filed the incident report? Who in the fire department is conducting the investigation? Why is the Police Cheat Pelletier handing the scene instead of the fire department?
Regardless of how the fire started (and if you've seen my more than a dozen investigative reports on this unspeakable tragedy, you know my suspicions) -- these questions need to be answered!
Yet there has been a noticeable SILENCE from the ONE MAN who should be providing what could be the MOST IMPORTANT INFORMATION about this disaster...
And that is Maui Fire Chief Brad Ventura. He has made two public appearances (which I cover in my video above) and also did a private interview with a U.S Fire Administrator officer. That interview was a total LOSS because some lamebrain decided to interview Ventura right next to the water, so his responses to the questions could not be heard or understood. Gee, thanks!
I don't know if Ventura is in over his head, incompetent, ignorant or intentionally deceiving the public, but it is beyond concerning that he has basically remained silent during the crucial days when this info needs to get out so the public can be assured that these officials are acting to "protect and serve". Or... are they all simply public serpents??? That would be horrible. |
