Hi Friend,
If you’d like to restore the hair you’ve lost
from your head, I’ll cover a few causes and remedies in this message.
It’s true that in some cases there is a genetic
component to hair loss. But whether that’s affecting your hair loss or not,
there are other factors that you can control.
Just bear in mind that hair
grows slowly. So once you take the necessary measures to stop or reverse hair
loss, it will take months to see the results.
Cause #1: Malnourishment
What’s one of the body parts that is least
needed for your body’s survival? Hair, of course. Your body can’t do without
its brain, heart, lungs, or even its skin. But it absolutely can do without
hair.
So when your body is not getting the nourishment
it needs, what is one of the first parts it deprives of nutrition? Your hair,
of course. So to prevent or reverse hair loss, ensure that you: -
Eat at least three meals a day.
- Ideally, eat organic foods (conventional foods
in the U.S.A. typically lack nutrients and are riddled with poisons)
- Make sure you’re getting enough protein in your
diet. Generally speaking, no less than 25% of your calories should come from
protein. A good rule of thumb is to consume substantial protein at every meal.
- Eat a balanced variety of foods to get a full
range of nutrients.
- Are getting enough iron in your diet and vitamin
D from sunlight exposure or supplements. Bear in mind that the form of iron in
plant foods is not absorbed as well as the form of iron from animal flesh. If
you’re unsure whether you’re getting enough of these nutrients, have your
physician check your levels of them.
Cause #2: Stress
Stress can absolutely cause hair loss. So do
whatever works for you to eliminate or reduce stress. Either change the
circumstance triggering your stress or change your reaction to the circumstance
so that cause yourself stress.
You can certainly use your own specific stress
reduction methods. But if you’d like to learn more about reducing your stress,
an excellent, practical book on that subject I recommend is The Relaxation And
Stress Reduction Workbook. You can get it via many public libraries and also
purchase it via Amazon using this link. It does a great
job of guiding you to select and learn stress reduction methods that are best
suited to you. Don’t bother with its chapter on nutrition, though—its advice is
poor there.
Cause #3: Dihydrotestosterone
Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is a very concentrated
form of testosterone. Testosterone is a masculine hormone, but both
genders need testosterone to perform necessary functions. Men need and use more
testosterone than women. DHT is responsible for male traits like facial hair,
sex drive, and aggressiveness. Men only need a small amount of DHT. Women do
not need DHT at all. However, both genders have the capability to create DHT. What causes most hair loss in men and women
is a high level of DHT.
DHT is a very strong hormone and is not supposed
to be present in high concentrations. While DHT is present in many people’s
scalps, your hair may have an allergic reaction to it. The conversion of
testosterone into DHT is attacking your hair follicle. The tissue around the
follicle is swelling, choking off the blood supply which brings healing
nutrients and anti- DHT enzymes.
One simple measure you can use to lower your DHT
level is to take a supplement of saw palmetto berry extract. This has been
shown to lower DHT levels. You may have heard of it being used for other
purposes, too, such as alleviating a swollen prostate gland.
The highest quality saw palmetto berry extract I
know of is named Prostasan and made by A. Vogel. You may be able to get it in some
health food stores but I generally only find it available online such as at
Amazon via this link. The general dosage with that
particular supplement is one capsule per day, but I suggest checking the
product label.
Though saw palmetto berry extract is one simple
measure you can use to lower your DHT level, it is only a supplement. For the
best possible balancing of DHT and other hormones that affect hair growth and
hair loss, other measures are important. There are specific things you can do
with diet, exercise, and other lifestyle measures you can use to rebalance DHT
and other such hormones. Those are beyond the scope of this email message. But
an excellent ebook I read that covers those measures in more detail as well as
other causes and remedies for hair loss is Hair Loss Black Book by Nigel
Thomas. You can download it immediately and it comes in PDF format so you can
read it on most smartphones, tablets, and computers. I found it to be high
quality. It was very insightful, informative, and well-written—much more so
than the many junk “Kindle” ebooks sold on Amazon nowadays. You can click here
to learn more about or purchase the Hair Loss Black Book ebook.
I hope this message was insightful and
encouraging for you.
