World renowned Egyptologist, writer and satirist John Anthony West has spent the majority of his life fighting academia with his controversial theories of ancient Egypt. In the first days of 2017 John was presented with a new fight, this time he is battling cancer instead of the “Quackademics” (one of many JAW'isms).
For those not familiar with John’s work, one can start with his 1993 Emmy award winning documentary, The Mysteries of the Sphinx, narrated by Charlton Heston. John first hypothesized and then proved geologically that the Sphinx is vastly older than the conventional date of 2500BC taught in schools. Simply put, he has changed the way we look at the history of our civilization.
John West was adamant about using alternative methods over the extremely harsh ‘standard of care’ treatment that would be tough on any person at any age. The great news is that John has been accepted in the renowned Burzynski Clinic in Houston, Texas. Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski, much like John, is a genius that the establishment does not know how to deal with. The FDA has continually harassed Dr Burzynski for using non standard of care methods, even though his treatment has shown more promise than traditional protocols. His patients testimonies have led to the FDA to consistently fail in their stubborn litigious pursuits.
Most non-traditional cancer treatments are disregarded from health insurance policies, giving most little choice in the matter. In addition to being radically cheaper, Dr Burzynski's patient case studies have detailed incredible results. Be that as it may, the majority of health care institutions do not acknowledge this. This of course requires people like John Anthony West to settle his medical care out of pocket. We can't let that stop these two from trying.
The Rogue Oncologist meets the Rogue Egyptologist, soon with your help.
We estimate the medical obligations, financial commitments, and on-hold Egypt tours for 2017 to be $155,000. 100% of all funds will go to John West and his family. We also welcome your ideas and suggestions to help out this living treasure to continue his pursuits.

| GC T-SHIRTS BACK IN STOCK, WHILE THEY LAST...
|
| | Black Guided Chaos t-shirts with the unique, trademarked Guided Chaos logo (designed by Grandmaster John Perkins and Bob Alexander in 1987).
ORIGIN OF GUIDED CHAOS LOGO John Perkins began experimenting with free associative fighting principles in 1965, combining Native American and Close Combat systems. In 1971 he began to create the rudiments of what would eventually become a new art. Finally in 1978, Perkins broke away from all classical systems and created Ki Chuan Do, “the Way of the Spirit Fist.” The art was also called Guided Chaos but in the '70s, American martial arts was in love with all things Asian, hence the Asian name. In 1987 Perkins designed the Guided Chaos emblem, symbolizing the melding of the best of eastern and western fighting arts. The name Ki Chuan Do was phased out to reflect the system's real "made in America" roots (actually Yonkers, NY).
The two outer rings represent the eternal circle of life and the principle of return. The jagged square is Native American, symbolizing lightning, mountains and the pinnacle of achievement. The four pairs of rectangles represent the four directions and the four elements, earth, air, fire, and water. The Yin Yang symbol in the center, which embodies the inter-relationship of all opposing forces in the universe, ties all the symbols together.

| | QUESTION: ROOT PRESSURE? "I feel myself getting better. I do the balance drills with a whole new mentality now. I can do the ninja walk and vacuum with my eyes closed. Doesn't look as smooth as when Lt Col AL does it, but it's major for me considering I couldn't come close to doing it a couple of months ago. Concentrating on my feet has helped me tremendously. Ghosting makes more sense to me, as well. I had a hard time with this concept initially, but I see the light now.
Question, is pressure in your feet determined by what you feel in your arms? Do you feel the contact and then put it in your feet, or do you try to do both simultaneously? I've been experimenting with both and I go back and forth on which is better. Hope that makes sense."
ANSWER: Your questions make perfect sense. I am always transitioning from one leg to the other: my single leg root switches back and forth between legs constantly as part of constant rocket stepping (or "stupid stepping" as I've been calling it lately in class) means that my feet (foot) are behind everything all the time. I literally want to feel my feet in my hands. In short, I step "into" everything. Think of it like a shot putter-- except I shot put in every direction with either hand or either leg, even if the "step" is imperceptible. The only exception is when I drop straight down into both legs because the situation dictates it--but then I immediately rebound into a new rocket step. Make sense?
One other thing: just because you feel your
feet in your hands DOESN'T mean you push like Sumo. It actually allows
you to become even lighter because you're using your whole body to
control your own movement and have more potential energy in reserve. By
the way, feeling your feet in your hands doesn't just apply to
offense--it also applies to yielding and defense.
QUESTION: MOVING TOO LITTLE/TOO MUCH? "When I'm flowing, it feels like my hands are just kind of in the way of the other person, while my feet (weight transfer) moves me in a better position to strike. I've been practicing this so much that I rarely think about what my hands are doing, but they always seem to be where they need to be. The last time I was in front of Lt Col Al, he said I was moving too much which made it easier for him to read. He even demonstrated on me what I was doing to him. I was like, "Holy shit! Is that what I'm doing?" But I totally get that now because I'm moving less (only enough), but I feel like I'm moving more internally, if that makes since."
ANSWER: In
the beginning you have to move more to get people out of the habit of
standing with their feet glued to the ground like an oak tree--or in tai
chai parlance, "as a willow tree" (so you can supposedly learn how to
absorb and deliver strikes better from your "immovable root"). This is nonsense.
No professional athlete in any sport trains to keep their feet
immobilized. Rather than standing like a tree, wouldn't it be better to
be able step and move your tree-like "root", like an Ent from the Lord of the Rings
(for you Tolkien geeks)?
Anyway, once you get the GC moveable
"root that can't be found" concept, you refine it so that you move/step
as little as possible but as much as you need to.
QUESTION: GC AND MUAY THAI? Another question: Do
you think that contact flow would help enhance the Muay Thai clinch?
There is a lot of pushing and pulling, but I'm thinking contact flow
would help sense it, so you could avoid the vast majority of it. Or
learn how to use the pushing and pulling to your advantage through
natural free flow responses. Of course, contact flow would have to be
altered because there are rules to this skill. I'm thinking about
experimenting with a couple of my Muay Thai students. Am I wasting my
time?
ANSWER: Wouldn't work. Or if it did it would make the muay thai part unrecognizable so might as well just do contact flow anyway. The clinching has WAAAY too much tension/control going on and is completely antithetical to GC principles....or tai chi's for that matter...which is interesting because push hands competitions have more in common with Sumo than internal art sensitivity. Neither has much to do with real combat. In GC your goal is to penetrate and destroy--not clinch, wrestle, lock, grapple or push for the sake of pushing. GC is 100% dirty and 100% misdirection based on the 5 principles, allowing striking from anywhere to anywhere.

| GUIDED CHAOS COMBATIVES
Shot on Day 3 of the 2014 Boot Camp, the GUIDED CHAOS COMBATIVES DVD is the perfect complement to the Attackproof Companion Part 1 DVD but with UPDATED and far more focused material. It also is the essential training guide for
those seeking GCC Course Completion or GCC Instructor Certification.
Additionally, all the methodologies on the GCC DVDs are prerequisites for GC 1st degree. Although there is some overlap between Part 1 and the GCC
DVD, they each have critical training not found in the other.

| "WOW." I just watched like 4 minutes of the new GCC video. WOW. I've been using and training GCC since 2000 and GC since 2003. You guys know my story:) I'm actually speechless. It's that good and has evolved that much! Just the little course correction, I watched on the GCC chop (saying "hi") is a gold mine and could be a life saver when fractions of a second count. I'm very honored to be considered part of the GC family. I'm so impressed that you never stop refining and finding ways to make this art teachable to all kinds of people. Love you guys." --Bob

|
| "From the teachers to the attitude to the style of the art itself, this is the best school I've ever attended.
At
36, I've moved often and so had a chance to sample but never master a
number of styles from kung fu to tai chi, aikido, brazilian jiu-jitsu,
shotokan and tae kwon do; hands down this has been the best experience. I
don't feel the need to ever study another style.
In eight
classes, I am now far better prepared to survive an actual
life-threatening attack than I've ever been. And yet, I could easily and
happily spend the next ten years studying Guided Chaos, working to
master the subtleties of the art.
Also, everyone I've worked
with, from Grandmaster John Perkins to Lt. Col. Al Ridenhour to Matt
Kovsky, has been wildly skilled and easy to work with. A variety of
styles at the instructional level has led to fast and effective learning
and new personal abilities.
If you're into martial arts - especially real-life applications, this is worth every second of the time it takes to check out." --Devon White |
| "This art is everything you always wanted to know to survive. Realistic and straight to the point! This is life changing!" --Mike McNulty
|
| "This school offers a
unique, effective and fun martial art with more weekend hours for
adults to train than almost any martial arts school in Westchester or
Manhattan. You can practically attend a mini-seminar every weekend.
Or just drop in for a one hour class as your schedule allows (weekdays
and/or weekends) - it is a flexible environment.
The
instructors coauthored the book “Attack Proof” and have a history of
teaching people of various ages and physical abilities to defend
themselves and avoid dangerous situations in the shortest time possible.
They teach only what is practical and avoid techniques that look good,
but can’t be utilized under chaotic conditions. That may sound like
common sense, but it is rare because many martial artists get distracted
by learning endless variations on flashy moves that look cool, but are
of questionable practical value- you won’t find those here.
This
is a great group of people teaching/learning a great art. What they
teach is immediately useful, but the principals can be further developed
over a lifetime. We are very lucky to have this school in
Westchester." --Brian Crowley
|
| "Guided Chaos was
created by John Perkins, who, as a law enforcement officer, crime scene
expert and unsanctioned pit fighter, combined his involvement in over
100 deadly fights with his lifetime of study of different martial arts
styles. The result is a fighting system that is exceptionally effective
in real-world situations because every move has its basis in subduing a
real opponent or opponents, and not in following a stylized form, kata,
or scripted attack. I learned more about defending myself in my first
month with Guided Chaos than I had in my many years of training with any
other style." --David Teich
|
| "This is the stuff
you want to know for that moment you hope you never have. I've read
about, observed, and analyzed a lot of different "styles" in the hope of
finding the real deal when it comes to self-defense. Well I found it in
Guided Chaos. No sport, no trophies, no BS. This is the real deal!!
And
Elmsford is the Headquarters for this. Everything is taught here from
basic combatives (WW2 style) to Contact Flow to advanced ground fighting
(which is frighteningly effective and deadly) and combat "dirty" boxing
with occasionally some practical weapons (stick, knife) for good
measure. The Conditioning drills are taught with attention to detail and
application to real fighting.
The class sizes are small at
present, which makes for a lot of individual attention from Masters Lt.
Col. Al Ridenhour and Matt Kovsky. Grandmaster John Perkins also shows
up regularly to reinforce what the Masters have taught.
I am
taking advantage of the small classes because this won't last long. I
would strongly recommend that anyone interested in having a fighting
chance to survive the unthinkable come check out what the Elmsford
Guided Chaos Training Center has to offer. It truly is priceless." --Roberto Casanova

| "Guided Chaos is the only training in my 15 plus years of Corrections that translates into real world application, period."
"Guided
Chaos is the only thing that has worked for me in real life situations.
Unless you are 6'3" and 285 lbs of muscle, most of the Defensive
Tactics stuff (ok all of the Defensive Tactics stuff) will get you hurt.
And even if you are that big and strong, there is always someone
bigger and stronger and there may be a lot of them. Nothing like dealing
with one guy and it turns into a free for all with all his buddies.
This is where you literally need to 'adapt or die' and Guided Chaos is
the only training in my 15 plus years of Corrections that translates
into real world application, period." ---Bob Miller, GC Instructor, Corrections Officer at the largest facility in Oregon |
